Should I:
a) continue to give a lump sum to a different organization with each paycheck, which forces me to think about what I value most and seek information about organizations that work on issues I value, or
b) pick several organizations to set up for monthly automatic donations, which would be more beneficial for the organizations (and if Tommy would send me those talking points already, I could give you some key reasons why) but would take all the thinking out of it for me.
Aand, this is why I've told hardly anyone about this blog. This is such a first world problem that I almost want to tell myself to shut the fuck up. But it is something I'm considering.

Hmm... Would it be possible to do both? Figure out home much you want to be giving away a month and divide that by 12. and every month start a new organization at that amount for 12 months. Same general effect (considering once a month what you value). I'm getting so excited I could make you a spreadsheet
I can't see your spreadsheet, but that's an interesting compromise that you propose.
